1. Introduction
The AccuRelief TENS Unit Pain Relief System is a dual-channel Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) device designed to provide clinical-strength pain relief for muscles and joints. It utilizes electrical pulses to help block pain signals, offering a non-invasive method for managing various body pains, including back pain, neck pain, and other muscle aches.
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective use of your AccuRelief TENS unit. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.
Important Safety Information
- Do not use if you have a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other implanted metallic or electronic device.
- Consult your physician before use if you have any medical conditions, including but not limited to, epilepsy, heart disease, or if you are pregnant.
- Do not use on open wounds, swollen, infected, or inflamed areas.
- Keep out of reach of children.

3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the AccuRelief TENS unit.
- Slide the battery cover open.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery cover securely.
3.2 Connecting Electrode Pads
- Connect the lead wires to the electrode pads by snapping them onto the metal studs on the pads.
- Plug the other end of the lead wires into the channel ports (CH1 and CH2) on the top of the TENS unit.
3.3 Electrode Pad Placement
Proper placement of the electrode pads is crucial for effective pain relief. Refer to the included Electrode Placement Guide for specific recommendations for different body parts. General guidelines:
- Ensure skin is clean, dry, and free of lotions or oils before applying pads.
- Place pads on or around the area of pain, ensuring they are at least one inch apart.
- Avoid placing pads on the head, face, neck (front), heart, or any broken skin.
- The pads feature a pull tab for easier application and removal. Their flexible design conforms to the target area for optimal contact.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Press the power button (central button) to turn the unit ON. The display will light up.
- To turn OFF, press and hold the power button until the display turns off.
4.2 Program Selection
The AccuRelief TENS unit features 12 therapeutic programs (P1-P12) and 6 additional programs (PE1-PE6) for tailored treatment. These programs vary in pulse rate and width to provide different sensations.
- Press the 'P' button to cycle through the 12 preset programs.
- Press the 'PE' button to cycle through the 6 additional programs.
- The selected program number will be displayed on the screen.

4.3 Intensity Adjustment
The unit offers 25 levels of adjustable intensity for each channel (CH1 and CH2) independently.
- Use the up/down arrow buttons next to 'CH1' to adjust the intensity for Channel 1.
- Use the up/down arrow buttons next to 'CH2' to adjust the intensity for Channel 2.
- Start with the lowest intensity and gradually increase until you feel a comfortable, strong, but not painful, sensation.
4.4 Treatment Duration
Each treatment session is set for 30 minutes with an automatic shut-off feature to prevent overuse.
- The timer will count down on the display.
- The unit will automatically turn off once the 30-minute session is complete.
- You can manually stop a session at any time by pressing the power button.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not submerge in water or use abrasive cleaners.
5.2 Cleaning and Storing Electrode Pads
To maximize the lifespan of your electrode pads:
- After each use, gently wipe the adhesive side of the pads with a damp cloth to remove any debris or skin oils.
- Return the pads to their original plastic storage sheet.
- Store pads in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Replace pads when they lose their adhesiveness or if they become damaged.
5.3 Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator on the display shows low power, replace all three AAA batteries with new ones to ensure optimal performance.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| No sensation or weak sensation | Low batteries, poor pad contact, incorrect intensity setting, lead wire issue. | Replace batteries, ensure pads are firmly adhered to clean skin, increase intensity, check lead wire connections. |
