Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) to its outermost position.
  2. Set the time: Rotate the crown to move the hands clockwise or counter-clockwise until the desired time is displayed.
  3. Set the date: If your watch has a date function, pull the crown out to the first click position (if applicable) and rotate it to adjust the date. If there is no first click, you may need to rotate the hands past midnight to advance the date.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its normal operating position. This will start the watch movement.

Wearing the Watch

Adjust the leather calfskin band to fit comfortably around your wrist. The buckle closure should be secure but not overly tight, allowing for proper circulation and comfort.

Operating

Reading the Time

The watch features a traditional analog display with hour, minute, and second hands. The large Arabic numerals on the dial provide clear visibility for reading the time.

Using the Subdials

Your watch is equipped with three subdials. These typically function as chronograph (stopwatch) features or display additional time information such as 24-hour time or day of the week. Refer to the specific markings on your watch's dial to understand the function of each subdial. The pushers located on either side of the crown are used to operate these subdial functions.

Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating means the watch is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but it is not suitable for diving or snorkeling. Avoid operating the crown or pushers when the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water ingress.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather band, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry it immediately. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish or the leather.

Leather Band Care

Leather bands are susceptible to wear and tear from moisture, sweat, and direct sunlight. To prolong the life of your leather band:

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to water.
  • Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth and allow to air dry completely.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Battery Replacement

Your watch is powered by a product-specific battery (included). When the watch stops running, it indicates that the battery needs replacement. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields. The original watch box is ideal for storage.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running:
    • Check if the crown is fully pushed in.
    • The battery may need replacement. Contact a watch technician.
  • Time is incorrect:
    • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after setting the time.
    • If the watch is running slow or fast consistently, it may require servicing.
  • Condensation inside the crystal:
    • This indicates a breach in the watch's water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a qualified technician to prevent further damage.
