Setup
Speaker Connections
Before connecting speakers, ensure the amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.
- For 70V/100V PA Systems: Connect the positive (+) terminal of your 70V or 100V speakers to the corresponding 70V or 100V terminal on the amplifier. Connect the negative (-) terminal of your speakers to the COM terminal on the amplifier. Ensure the total wattage of all connected speakers does not exceed the amplifier's output power.
- For Low-Impedance Speakers (4-16 ohms): Connect the positive (+) terminal of your speaker(s) to the 4-16 Ohm terminal on the amplifier. Connect the negative (-) terminal of your speaker(s) to the COM terminal on the amplifier. Ensure the total impedance of connected speakers is within the 4-16 ohm range.
- Always use appropriate speaker cables with sufficient gauge for the distance and power.
Input Connections
- Microphones: Connect dynamic microphones to the MIC 1, MIC 2, or PRIORITY MIC (MIC 3) 6.3mm jack inputs on the rear panel.
- Line-Level Devices: Connect audio sources like CD players, tuners, or media players to the LINE 1, LINE 2, or LINE 3 RCA inputs on the rear panel.
- External Amplifier/Recorder: Use the LINE OUTPUT RCA jacks to send the mixed audio signal to another amplifier or a recording device.
Power Connection
- Ensure all connections (speakers, inputs) are securely made.
- Connect the supplied power cord to the AC INPUT on the rear panel of the amplifier.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable mains power outlet (230V AC, 50Hz).
Operating Instructions
Powering On and Basic Operation
- Before turning on, ensure all volume controls (MASTER, LINE, MIC) are set to their minimum position.
- Press the POWER switch on the front panel to turn on the amplifier. The power indicator will light up.
- Gradually increase the MASTER volume control to a desired listening level.
- Adjust the TREBLE and BASS controls to fine-tune the tonal characteristics of the output sound.
Using Microphone Inputs
- Connect your microphone(s) to the MIC 1, MIC 2, or MIC 3 inputs on the rear panel.
- Slowly increase the corresponding MIC level control (MIC 1, MIC 2, or MIC 3) on the front panel until the desired microphone volume is achieved.
- Priority Function (MIC 3): When a signal is detected on MIC 3, it will automatically attenuate the volume of other active inputs. The level of attenuation can usually be adjusted internally or via a dedicated control if available (refer to detailed product diagram or specific model features for adjustment).
Using Line Inputs
- Connect your line-level audio source to the LINE 1, LINE 2, or LINE 3 RCA inputs.
- Increase the corresponding LINE level control on the front panel to adjust the volume of the connected device.
MP3 Player Operation
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD CARD slot on the front panel. The MP3 player will typically detect the media automatically.
- Use the MP3 player controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track, Mode, Repeat) and the LCD display to navigate and play audio files.
- Adjust the LINE/MP3 level control to set the volume of the MP3 player.
- The included IR remote control can also be used for convenient operation of the MP3 player from a distance.
Chime Function
Press the CHIME button on the front panel to activate a pre-set chime sound, often used for announcements.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the unit from the power supply before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are not blocked. Periodically check for dust accumulation and gently clean with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner if necessary.
- Storage: If the unit is to be stored for an extended period, disconnect it from power, clean it, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
- Fuse Replacement: If the unit does not power on, check the fuse in the fuse holder on the rear panel. Replace it only with a fuse of the same type and rating (T2A/250V). Always unplug the unit before replacing the fuse.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Power cord not connected; Power switch off; Blown fuse; Power outlet fault. | Check power cord connection; Turn power switch on; Replace fuse (T2A/250V); Test power outlet with another device. |
| No sound output | MASTER volume too low; Input level control too low; Incorrect speaker connection; Faulty input cable/source. | Increase MASTER volume; Increase relevant input level; Verify speaker wiring (COM, 70V/100V/4-16 Ohm); Test with different input source/cable. |
| Distorted sound | Volume levels too high (clipping); Incorrect impedance match for speakers; Faulty speaker. | Reduce MASTER or input volume; Ensure speaker impedance matches amplifier output; Test with different speakers. |
| MP3 player not working | USB/SD card not inserted correctly; Unsupported file format; Corrupt media. | Re-insert USB/SD card; Ensure files are MP3 format; Try a different USB/SD card. |
| FAULT LED is on | Over current, short circuit, or overheating. | Turn off the unit immediately. Check speaker connections for short circuits. Ensure adequate ventilation. Allow unit to cool down before restarting. If problem persists, seek professional service. |
