5. Setup & Installation
The Lippert Power Tongue Jack is designed for fast and simple installation. Ensure you have all necessary hardware and pins before beginning.
- Remove Old Jack: If replacing an existing jack, ensure the trailer is stable and supported. Unbolt the old jack from the A-frame and carefully remove it.
- Position New Jack: Insert the new Lippert Power Tongue Jack through the mounting hole on the trailer A-frame.
- Secure Mounting: Align the mounting holes on the jack with those on the trailer A-frame. Secure the jack using the provided hardware (bolts and pins). Ensure all fasteners are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Connect Power: Connect the jack's power wire to a 12V power source, typically the trailer's battery. Ensure proper polarity (red to positive, black to negative) and secure connections. The jack is designed with 30 AMPs of power.
