4. Assembly
4.1 Handle Assembly
- Unfold the lower handle section and secure it to the main unit using the provided bolts and knobs.
- Attach the upper handle section to the lower section, ensuring the quick-release clamps are securely fastened.
- Route the power cable along the handle, securing it with the cable clips provided.
4.2 Grass Collector Assembly
- Assemble the two halves of the grass collector by snapping them together.
- Lift the rear discharge flap of the lawnmower.
- Hook the grass collector onto the rear of the lawnmower, ensuring it is securely seated.

5.1 Adjusting Cutting Height
The Alpina BL 380E features 3 positions for adjusting the cutting height (25-65 mm). This adjustment is made on the wheel axles.
- Disconnect the lawnmower from the power supply.
- Carefully tilt the lawnmower onto its side, ensuring the blade is not accessible.
- Adjust the wheel axles to the desired cutting height position. Ensure all four wheels are set to the same height.
- Return the lawnmower to its operating position.
Note: Always ensure the lawnmower is disconnected from the power supply before making any adjustments.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Before Starting
- Ensure the grass collector is correctly attached.
- Check that the power cord is in good condition and properly connected to a suitable outdoor extension cord.
- Clear the mowing area of any debris, stones, or other objects.
- Adjust the cutting height as desired.
6.2 Starting the Lawnmower
- Plug the lawnmower into a suitable power outlet.
- Press and hold the safety button on the handle.
- While holding the safety button, pull the operating lever towards the handle. The motor will start.
- Release the safety button, but continue to hold the operating lever to keep the motor running.
6.3 Mowing Technique
- Mow in overlapping rows to ensure even coverage.
- For best results, mow when the grass is dry.
- Avoid overloading the motor by not attempting to cut excessively long or wet grass in a single pass.
- Empty the grass collector regularly to maintain optimal performance.

6.4 Stopping the Lawnmower
Release the operating lever. The motor will stop automatically.
