Setup

The DebrisZ B9 Skimmer Basket requires no assembly. Simply place the basket into your pool's skimmer opening. Ensure it is seated correctly to allow for proper water flow and debris collection.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to effectively use and empty your DebrisZ B9 Skimmer Basket:

1. Removal: With the pool pump running, carefully open the skimmer lid. Use the integrated handle to lift the DebrisZ B9 Skimmer Basket out of the water. Slowly dip it back into the skimmer to allow water flow to loosen any debris stuck to the basket walls.
2. Emptying Debris: Once removed from the skimmer, position the basket over a trash receptacle. Press the green quick-release button located on the handle. The bottom flap of the basket will open, allowing collected debris to fall out.
3. Re-locking and Re-insertion: After emptying, hold the quick-release button down and push the bottom flap back into its locked position. Ensure the flap is securely closed. Then, carefully place the clean skimmer basket back into the pool skimmer opening.

Maintenance

• Regular Cleaning: Periodically rinse the skimmer basket with fresh water to remove any fine debris or residue that may accumulate on the mesh.
• Inspect for Wear: Regularly check the quick-release mechanism and the bottom flap for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the flap latches securely after emptying.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the skimmer basket in a cool, shaded area to prevent potential material deformation from prolonged exposure to extreme heat and direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

• Basket Gets Stuck or Pulled Down: Ensure the basket is properly aligned and seated in the skimmer opening. Avoid forcing it into place. If the skimmer opening is slightly larger, the basket may shift; ensure it remains upright.
• Accidental Debris Release: The quick-release button is sensitive. When handling the basket, be mindful of where your hand is positioned on the handle to avoid inadvertently pressing the button before you are ready to empty the debris.
• Bottom Flap Does Not Latch Securely: Check for any small debris caught in the hinge or latch mechanism that might prevent it from closing properly. If the material appears misshapen due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures, the latching function may be compromised, and replacement might be necessary.
