Setup and Initial Configuration

1. Time and Date Setting

To set the current time and date:

  1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until the timekeeping mode is displayed.
  2. Hold down the ADJUST button until the seconds begin to flash, indicating the setting mode.
  3. Use the MODE button to cycle through the settings: seconds, hour, minute, year, month, day.
  4. Use the START button to increase the flashing value, or the LIGHT button to decrease it (if applicable).
  5. Press ADJUST again to exit the setting mode.

2. World Time Setting

The watch can display the current time in 29 time zones (48 cities).

  1. From the timekeeping mode, press the MODE button to enter World Time mode.
  2. Use the START button to scroll through the different city codes/time zones.
  3. To toggle Daylight Saving Time (DST) for the selected city, hold down the ADJUST button.

3. Alarm Setting

Set daily alarms to remind you of important events.

  1. Press the MODE button to navigate to the Alarm mode.
  2. Use the START button to select the desired alarm number (if multiple are available).
  3. Hold down the ADJUST button until the alarm time digits flash.
  4. Use MODE to select hours or minutes, and START to change the value.
  5. Press ADJUST to confirm and exit.

Operating Instructions

1. Stopwatch Function

The 1/100-second stopwatch measures elapsed time, split times, and two finishes.

  1. Press the MODE button to enter Stopwatch mode.
  2. Press START to begin timing. Press START again to stop.
  3. Press ADJUST to reset the stopwatch to zero.

2. Interval Timers

Utilize the nine programmable interval timers for structured activities.

  1. Press the MODE button to enter Interval Timer mode.
  2. Hold ADJUST to enter setting mode for the timers.
  3. Use MODE to select the interval number and START to adjust the time.
  4. Press ADJUST to save settings.
  5. Press START to begin the interval countdown.

3. LED Backlight

To illuminate the display in low-light conditions, press the LIGHT button located on the top right side of the watch.

Maintenance and Care

1. Water Resistance

The Casio AE-1300WH is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 BAR). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, showering, and swimming. However, it is not recommended for diving or prolonged underwater use with button operations.

2. Battery Replacement
