1. Product Overview

4. Setup and Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your CAT CJ3000 unit. This ensures optimal performance and extends battery life.

1. Locate the integrated charging cube on the unit.
2. Connect a standard household extension cord (not included) to the charging cube.
3. Plug the extension cord into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
4. Allow the unit to charge for at least 24 hours for the initial charge. The battery status LED indicators will show charging progress.
5. Once fully charged, disconnect the extension cord.

Store the unit in a cool, dry place when not in use and recharge monthly to maintain battery health.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Jump Starting a Vehicle

The CJ3000 is designed to jump-start most 12V vehicles with dead batteries.

1. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories are turned off.
2. Place the CJ3000 on a stable, flat surface away from moving engine parts.
3. Connect the red (positive) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's dead battery.
4. Connect the black (negative) clamp to a clean, unpainted metal part of the vehicle's chassis or engine block, away from the battery.
5. Turn the built-in power switch on the CJ3000 to the 'ON' position.
6. Attempt to start the vehicle. If it doesn't start immediately, wait a few minutes before trying again.
7. Once the vehicle starts, immediately turn the power switch on the CJ3000 to 'OFF'.
8. Disconnect the black (negative) clamp first, then the red (positive) clamp.

The unit features a reverse polarity alarm and indicator light to warn against incorrect connections.

5.2. Using the Air Compressor

The integrated air compressor can inflate tires, sports equipment, and other inflatables.

1. Locate the air compressor hose and attachments.
2. Select the appropriate nozzle for the item you wish to inflate.
3. Securely attach the nozzle to the item's valve stem.
4. Turn on the air compressor. Monitor the pressure gauge to avoid over-inflation.
5. Once the desired pressure is reached, turn off the compressor and disconnect the nozzle.

5.3. Utilizing Power Outlets

The CJ3000 provides a 12V DC accessory outlet for powering or charging compatible devices.

• Plug your 12V DC device into the accessory outlet.
• Ensure the device's power requirements do not exceed the unit's output capacity.

5.4. LED Area Light and Emergency Flasher

The unit includes an LED area light for illumination and an emergency flasher for visibility in low-light conditions.

• Press the dedicated button to activate the LED area light.
• Press the emergency flasher button to activate the flashing warning lights.

• Unit Not Charging: Ensure the extension cord is securely connected to both the unit and a live wall outlet. Verify the outlet is functioning. If the unit has been deeply discharged for an extended period, it may take longer to register a charge.
• Vehicle Not Starting: Check that the clamps are securely connected to the correct battery terminals (red to positive, black to chassis). Ensure the unit's power switch is ON. The vehicle's battery might be severely damaged and require professional attention.
• Air Compressor Not Working: Check that the compressor is turned on and the hose is properly connected. Ensure the item being inflated has a functional valve.
• No Power from DC Outlet: Verify the unit has sufficient charge. Ensure the device being powered is compatible and not drawing excessive current.
