  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Push the crown back in to its original position to start the watch.

Operating the Watch

Basic Timekeeping

Your Timex Intelligent Quartz watch provides accurate analog time display. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in for the watch to operate correctly and maintain its water resistance.

Chronograph Function (Fly-back)

This watch features a Fly-back Chronograph. The pushers on the side of the case control the chronograph:

  • Start/Stop: Press the top pusher to start the chronograph. Press it again to stop.
  • Fly-back/Reset: While the chronograph is running, pressing the bottom pusher will instantly reset the chronograph hands to zero and restart timing from that point. If the chronograph is stopped, pressing the bottom pusher will reset the hands to zero.

INDIGLO® Night-Light

To activate the INDIGLO® night-light, press and hold the crown. The entire dial will illuminate for easy reading in low-light conditions.

Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise the water resistance.

Maintenance

Cleaning Your Watch

Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, damp cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture and harsh chemicals. If the strap gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally.

Battery Replacement

Your watch is powered by a standard watch battery. When the battery runs low, the watch may stop or the second hand may jump in multiple-second increments. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Water Resistance Checks

It is recommended to have the water resistance of your watch checked periodically, especially after battery replacement or if the watch has experienced an impact. Gaskets and seals can degrade over time.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement.
  • Time Inaccurate: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If the time is consistently fast or slow, the movement may require servicing.
  • Condensation Under Crystal: This indicates a breach in water resistance. Have the watch inspected and serviced immediately to prevent further damage to the movement.
