3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the amplifier from its packaging.
- Place the amplifier on a stable, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating.
3.2 Power Connection
- Ensure the amplifier's power switch is in the 'OFF' position.
- Connect the provided power cord to the AC inlet on the rear panel of the amplifier.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
3.3 Instrument Connection
- With the amplifier still off and all volume controls set to minimum, connect your bass guitar to the INPUT jack on the front panel using a standard 1/4" instrument cable.

4.1 Front Panel Controls
- INPUT: 1/4" jack for connecting your bass guitar.
- GAIN: Adjusts the input sensitivity and overall preamp drive. Higher settings increase distortion.
- BRIGHT Button: Engages a high-frequency boost for added clarity and sparkle.
- CONTOUR Button: Activates a mid-scoop EQ setting, ideal for modern slap tones.
- VINTAGE Button: Engages a classic, warm Fender bass tone emulation.
- DRIVE: Controls the amount of overdrive/distortion when the overdrive circuit is active.
- LEVEL: Adjusts the output volume of the overdrive circuit.

- LOW MID: Adjusts the lower-midrange frequencies.

4.2 Rear Panel Connections

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the amplifier. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes, as these can damage the finish.
- Storage: Store the amplifier in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting
- No Sound:
- Check if the amplifier is powered ON.
- Verify that the instrument cable is securely connected to both the bass and the amplifier's INPUT jack.
- Ensure the GAIN and MASTER volume controls are set to an audible level.
- Test with a different instrument cable or bass guitar to rule out equipment issues.
- Distorted Sound:
- Reduce the GAIN control. High gain settings can cause distortion.
- Adjust the DRIVE and LEVEL controls if the overdrive circuit is engaged.
- Check your bass guitar's output level; some active basses can have very high output.
- Hum or Noise:
- Ensure all cables are properly shielded and in good condition.
- Check for proper grounding of the amplifier and other connected equipment.
- Move the amplifier away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.
