Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the airbrush for any signs of damage.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, it is recommended to flush the airbrush with an appropriate cleaning solution or water to remove any manufacturing residues.
  3. Connecting to Air Source: Attach the airbrush to your air compressor or air tank using a compatible air hose. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leaks. The recommended working pressure for this airbrush is 15-50 PSI.
  4. Testing Air Flow: With the airbrush connected, activate your air source and test the air flow by pressing down on the trigger. Adjust the air pressure on your compressor as needed.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Paint: Ensure your paint is properly thinned to the consistency recommended by the paint manufacturer for airbrushing. Strain paint if necessary to prevent clogs.
  2. Load Paint: Pour the prepared paint into the gravity feed cup (7CC capacity) located on top of the airbrush. Do not overfill.
  3. Double-Action Control:
    • Pressing the trigger down controls the air flow.
    • Pulling the trigger back controls the paint flow.
  4. Spraying Technique:
    • Begin by pressing the trigger down to start the air flow.
    • Then, pull the trigger back to release paint. The further back you pull, the more paint will be released.
    • To stop spraying, push the trigger forward to stop paint flow, then release the trigger upwards to stop air flow.
    • Maintain a consistent distance from your work surface and move your hand smoothly to achieve an even coat.

Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and performance of your airbrush. Clean your airbrush immediately after each use.

  1. Basic Cleaning (After Each Use):
    • Empty any remaining fluid from the cup.
    • Wash the fluid cup with water or an appropriate solvent using a brush.
    • Refill the cup with water or solvent.
    • Block the needle cover with your finger and spray. This action forces air backward into the nozzle, helping to clean out any remaining paint. Repeat until the cleaning solution sprays clear.
  2. Thorough Cleaning: Periodically, or if clogging occurs, a more thorough cleaning may be required. This involves disassembling the airbrush components such as the needle, nozzle, and air cap for individual cleaning. Refer to diagrams for proper disassembly and reassembly.
  3. Nozzle Care: The 0.3mm nozzle is a delicate component. Handle it with care to avoid damage. Use only appropriate cleaning tools and solutions.

Troubleshooting

  • No Paint Flow:
    • Check for clogs in the nozzle or fluid tip.
    • Ensure paint is properly thinned.
    • Verify the needle is not bent or stuck.
  • Uneven Spray Pattern:
    • Clean the air cap and nozzle thoroughly.
    • Check for damage to the nozzle or needle.
    • Adjust air pressure.
  • Air Leaks:
    • Tighten all connections (air hose, airbrush components).
    • Inspect O-rings and seals for wear or damage.
  • Paint Bubbling in Cup:
    • Indicates a clog in the nozzle or air cap. Clean thoroughly.
    • Ensure the nozzle is seated correctly.
