Safety Information

Always read and understand the entire instruction manual before operating the generator. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.

  • Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in partially enclosed spaces.
  • Electrical Safety: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and properly grounded. Use only approved extension cords rated for outdoor use and the generator's power output.
  • Fuel Safety: Gasoline is highly flammable. Always refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store gasoline in approved containers away from living areas.
  • Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become very hot during operation. Avoid touching hot surfaces to prevent burns. Allow the generator to cool for at least 2 minutes before handling or storing.
  • Proper Grounding: Ensure the generator is properly grounded to prevent electrical shock. Consult a qualified electrician for permanent connections to a residence's electrical system.
