1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the safe and effective use of your Fujifilm FinePix S9400W digital camera. 2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The camera operates on four AA batteries. For optimal performance and battery life, it is recommended to use high-capacity Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. Alkaline or lithium batteries can also be used.
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera.

3.1 Powering On/Off

- Frame your shot using the LCD monitor or the electronic viewfinder (EVF).
- Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The camera will beep when focus is achieved.
- Press the shutter button fully to take the picture.

The FinePix S9400W features a 50x optical zoom lens. Use the side-lever zoom control located on the lens barrel to adjust the zoom. Push the lever forward to zoom in (telephoto) and backward to zoom out (wide-angle).

3.5 Video Recording
To record videos, press the dedicated MOVIE RECORD button. The camera records Full HD (1920 x 1080) video at up to 60 frames per second. High-speed movie modes are also available for slow-motion playback.
3.6 Wi-Fi Connectivity
The camera features built-in Wi-Fi for wireless transfer of images and videos to compatible smartphones or tablets. Download the free Fujifilm Camera Application to your device and follow the in-app instructions to establish a connection and transfer files.

4.1 Cleaning the Camera
- Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a lens brush to gently remove dust. For smudges, use a specialized lens cleaning solution applied to a cloth, not directly to the lens.
