Setup

1. Power Connection

1. Connect the power adapter to the DC input jack on the back of the BigBen RR60.
2. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet. The display will illuminate.

2. Battery Backup Installation (Optional)

A 9V battery (not supplied) can be installed for backup power in case of a power outage. This will preserve time and alarm settings.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert a 9V battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Setting the Time

1. Press and hold the CLOCK button until the hour digits begin to flash.
2. Use the HOUR button to adjust the hour.
3. Use the MIN button to adjust the minutes.
4. Press the CLOCK button again to confirm the time setting.

Operating Instructions

1. Radio Operation (AM/FM)

1. Press the POWER button to turn on the radio.
2. Press the BAND button (if available, or cycle through modes) to select AM or FM band.
3. Use the TUNING buttons (<< / >>) to tune to your desired station.
4. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME buttons (- / +).

2. Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 & Alarm 2)

The BigBen RR60 features dual alarms. Both can be set independently.

1. Press and hold the AL 1 button until the alarm hour digits flash.
2. Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired alarm time for Alarm 1.
3. Press AL 1 again to select the alarm source: BUZZER or RADIO. The corresponding indicator will light up.
4. Press AL 1 once more to confirm and activate Alarm 1.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 for AL 2 to set the second alarm.

3. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE / SLEEP / DIMMER button to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after approximately 9 minutes.

4. Sleep Function

The Sleep function allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

1. While the radio is playing, press the SNOOZE / SLEEP / DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer options (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
2. The radio will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

5. Display Dimmer

To adjust the brightness of the digital display:

• Press the SNOOZE / SLEEP / DIMMER button (when the alarm is not sounding and sleep function is not active) to cycle through different brightness levels.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.

Battery Replacement

If the backup battery is installed, replace it annually or when the unit loses time during a power outage. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section.
