Safety Information
WARNING: This product is highly flammable and contains propellants. Read all safety instructions on the can before use.
- Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid inhaling vapors.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and eye protection.
- Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources. No smoking.
- Do not pierce or burn, even after use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.
Setup
Surface Preparation
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, and loose rust.
- For optimal adhesion and corrosion protection, lightly sand smooth surfaces.
- Remove any existing loose paint or rust with a wire brush or sandpaper.
- Mask off areas not intended for painting.
Can Preparation
- Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes after the mixing ball begins to rattle. This ensures proper mixing of pigments and binders.
- Test spray on an inconspicuous area or scrap material to check color and spray pattern.
Operating (Application)
- Hold the can upright approximately 20-30 cm (8-12 inches) from the surface.
- Apply the paint in thin, even coats using a steady, sweeping motion.
- Avoid applying thick coats to prevent drips and runs.
- Allow each coat to dry for 5-10 minutes before applying the next. Multiple thin coats provide a more durable and even finish than one thick coat.
- For best results, apply 2-3 coats.
- After use, invert the can and spray until only clear propellant comes out. This cleans the nozzle and prevents clogging for future use.
Drying Time: Touch dry in approximately 15-20 minutes. Fully dry in 24 hours. Curing time may vary depending on temperature and humidity.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Clean the spray nozzle after each use by inverting the can and spraying until clear propellant is emitted.
- If the nozzle becomes clogged, remove it and clean it with a thin wire or solvent. Do not use sharp objects that could damage the nozzle.
Storage
- Store the can in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and temperatures above 50°C (122°F).
- Ensure the cap is securely replaced after use to prevent accidental discharge or drying of the nozzle.
Troubleshooting
- Uneven Spray Pattern:
Ensure the can is shaken thoroughly before and during use. Check if the nozzle is clean and not partially blocked. Maintain a consistent distance from the surface.
- Drips or Runs:
This usually occurs from applying too much paint in one coat or holding the can too close to the surface. Apply thinner, multiple coats.
- Clogged Nozzle:
Clean the nozzle immediately after use by inverting the can and spraying until clear. If already clogged, remove and clean with a solvent or thin wire.
- Poor Adhesion:
Ensure the surface was properly cleaned and prepared, free from grease, oil, or loose particles. Sanding smooth surfaces can improve adhesion.
