  2. Connect the Deutsch connector from the wiring harness to the corresponding port on the light bar. Ensure it clicks into place securely.
  3. Route the wiring harness safely away from moving parts, hot surfaces, and sharp edges. Use zip ties or cable clamps to secure the wiring.
  4. Connect the power and ground wires of the harness to your vehicle's electrical system. The harness includes a switch for convenient operation. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for appropriate power sources and grounding points.
  5. Once all connections are made and secured, reconnect the vehicle's battery.
  6. Test the light bar's functionality using the provided switch.

5. Operation

5.1 Basic Functionality

To operate the light bar, simply activate the switch included with the wiring harness. The light bar will illuminate, providing powerful LED lighting.

5.2 Hybrid Optics System (Spot/Flood Combo)

This E-Series light bar utilizes Rigid Industries' patented Hybrid optics system, combining both Spot and Flood beam patterns for optimal versatility:

  • Spot Optic: Projects light over great distances in a concentrated beam, ideal for high-speed applications or situations requiring extreme long-range illumination.
  • Flood Optic: Provides a wider coverage area, approximately twice the coverage of the Spot version, making it suitable for illuminating broad areas closer to the vehicle.

The combination of these two optics ensures a balanced light output, offering both distance and area coverage simultaneously.

5.3 Amber LEDs

This model features amber LEDs. Amber lighting is specifically designed to improve visibility in challenging atmospheric conditions such as snow, rain, fog, and dust. By filtering out blue light from the spectrum, amber LEDs significantly reduce glare, resulting in clearer vision and enhanced safety in adverse weather.

6. Maintenance

The Rigid Industries E-Series light bar is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure long-lasting performance:

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the polycarbonate lens with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the lens.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the mounting hardware and wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Tighten any loose fasteners.
  • Heat Sinks: Ensure the custom, oversized heat sinks on the light bar remain clear of debris to allow for proper heat dissipation, which helps maintain optimal LED performance and longevity.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your light bar, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
