Setup
Power Connection
- Plug the AC power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The clock display will illuminate.
- For battery backup, insert one 9-volt battery (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the clock. This battery will preserve time settings during a power interruption.
Setting the Time
- Locate the 'TIME ALARM' switch on the bottom of the clock. Slide it to the 'TIME' position.
- Press the 'HOUR' button repeatedly to advance the hour. Observe the 'PM' indicator light to ensure correct AM/PM setting.
- Press the 'MINUTE' button repeatedly to advance the minute.
- Once the desired time is set, slide the 'TIME ALARM' switch back to the 'RUN' position to start the clock.
Operating Instructions
Setting the Alarm
- Locate the 'TIME ALARM' switch on the bottom of the clock. Slide it to the 'ALARM' position.
- Press the 'HOUR' button repeatedly to set the desired alarm hour. Observe the 'PM' indicator light for correct AM/PM setting.
- Press the 'MINUTE' button repeatedly to set the desired alarm minute.
- Once the alarm time is set, slide the 'TIME ALARM' switch back to the 'RUN' position.
- To activate the alarm, ensure the 'ALARM ON/OFF + VOL.' switch on the top of the clock is set to 'ON'. The 'ALARM' indicator light on the front display will illuminate.
Adjusting Display Brightness
The clock features an adjustable display brightness. Locate the 'HI-LO' button on the bottom of the clock. Press this button to toggle between high and low brightness settings for the LED display.
Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press the large 'SNOOZE' button located on the top of the clock. This will temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes before it sounds again.
Adjusting Alarm Volume
The alarm volume can be adjusted. Locate the 'ALARM ON/OFF + VOL.' slider switch on the top of the clock. Slide it to adjust the volume between high and low settings. To turn the alarm off completely, slide the switch to the 'OFF' position.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the clock, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or display.
Battery Replacement
If the clock experiences a power outage and the time is not maintained, the 9-volt backup battery may need replacement. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the clock, remove the old battery, and insert a new 9-volt battery, observing polarity.
Troubleshooting
- Clock not displaying time: Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Alarm not sounding: Verify that the 'ALARM ON/OFF + VOL.' switch is in the 'ON' position and the alarm time is correctly set.
- Time not maintained during power outage: Check if a fresh 9-volt battery is installed correctly in the backup compartment.
- Display too bright/dim: Use the 'HI-LO' button to adjust the display brightness to your preference.
