4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the supplied NP-FW50 rechargeable battery. Connect the camera to the AC adapter using the Micro USB cable, then plug the AC adapter into a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when complete.

4.2 Inserting the Battery and Memory Card

1. Open the battery/memory card cover located on the bottom of the camera.
2. Insert the NP-FW50 battery with the arrow facing inward until it locks into place.

• Eye AF: This feature detects and focuses on a subject's eye, ensuring sharp portraits even with shallow depth of field. Assign it to a customizable button for quick access.
• Focus Area: Select from Wide, Zone, Center, Flexible Spot, or Expand Flexible Spot.
