2. Safety Information

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components are present:

3.2 Connecting Speakers
Connect your passive speakers to the speaker terminals on the rear panel of the X-HM21V-K. Observe correct polarity (+ to + and – to –) for optimal sound quality. The unit supports speakers with an impedance of 8 ohms.

3.3 Connecting the FM Antenna
Connect the supplied FM antenna to the FM 75Ω coaxial terminal on the rear panel. Extend the antenna for better reception.
3.4 Connecting External Devices
- HDMI Output: Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on the rear panel to an HDMI input on your TV or display for video output from DVD playback and On-Screen Display (OSD).
- Component Video Output: For older TVs, connect component video cables (Y, Pb, Pr) from the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT ports to your TV.

3.5 Connecting Power
After all other connections are made, plug the power cord into the AC IN socket on the rear panel, then into a wall outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the STANDBY/ON button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the unit on or off.
- Selecting Input Source: Press the INPUT button on the front panel or the corresponding source button (e.g., DVD/CD, USB, TUNER, AUDIO IN) on the remote control to select your desired input source.
- Adjusting Volume: Rotate the VOLUME knob on the front panel or use the VOLUME +/- buttons on the remote control.

4.2 DVD/CD Playback
- Press the DVD/CD button on the remote or cycle inputs until "DVD/CD" is selected.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the remote or the unit to open the disc tray.
- Place a DVD or CD disc gently into the tray with the label side up.
- Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray. Playback will usually start automatically. If not, press the PLAY button.
- Use the SKIP (|<SEARCH (<<) buttons for navigation.
4.3 USB Playback
- Insert a USB storage device into the front panel USB port.
- Select the USB input source.
- Use the navigation buttons on the remote (e.g., UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, ENTER) to browse folders and files on the USB device via the On-Screen Display (OSD) on your connected TV.
- Press PLAY to start playback.
- Note: The unit may not support all USB devices or file formats. Shuffle function for MP3 files on USB may not be available.
4.4 FM Radio Operation
- Select the TUNER input source.
- Manual Tuning: Use the TUNE +/- buttons on the remote to manually adjust the frequency.
