3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Remove the stove from its carrying case.
  2. Place the stove on a firm, level, non-combustible surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance from combustible materials (minimum 24 inches from sides and back, 48 inches from top).

3.2 Fuel Canister Installation

This stove uses 8.8 oz. butane gas cylinders (sold separately).

  1. Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" position.
  2. Open the fuel compartment door located on the side of the stove.
  3. Align the collar of the butane canister with the guide in the fuel compartment.
  4. Insert the canister into the compartment, ensuring the notch on the canister collar aligns with the tab on the stove's regulator.
  5. Push the fuel lock lever down to secure the canister in place. You should hear a click.
  6. Close the fuel compartment door.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Lighting the Stove

  1. Ensure the fuel canister is correctly installed and the compartment door is closed.
  2. Turn the control knob counter-clockwise past the "MAX" position until you hear a click. This activates the Instastart ignition and lights the burner.
  3. If the burner does not light on the first attempt, turn the knob back to "OFF" and repeat the ignition process.

4.2 Adjusting the Flame

4.3 Shutting Down the Stove

  1. Turn the control knob clockwise to the "OFF" position. The flame should extinguish.
  2. Allow the stove to cool completely before handling or storing.
  3. After use, open the fuel compartment door and push the fuel lock lever up to release the butane canister. Remove the canister and replace its cap.
