Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the area where dehumidification is desired. Ensure there is at least 12 inches (30 cm) of clear space around all sides of the unit to allow for proper air intake and exhaust. Do not block the air inlets or outlets.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a properly grounded 115-volt electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
  4. Drainage Options:
    • Collection Bucket: For manual draining, ensure the internal collection bucket is correctly seated. The unit will automatically shut off when the bucket is full.
    • Continuous Drain: For continuous operation without emptying the bucket, attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drain port located on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to a suitable drain.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel

The control panel features intuitive buttons and indicators for easy operation.

  • Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
  • Humidity Setting Buttons: Use the UP/DOWN arrows to set the desired humidity level (e.g., 40% - 80% relative humidity). The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached.
  • Fan Speed Button: Toggle between HIGH and LOW fan speeds. High speed provides faster dehumidification, while low speed offers quieter operation.
  • Timer Button: Set a timer for automatic ON/OFF operation (refer to specific timer instructions in the full manual).
  • Filter Light: Illuminates to remind you to clean the air filter.
  • Full Bucket Indicator: Illuminates when the water collection bucket is full and needs to be emptied. The unit will stop operating until the bucket is emptied and reinserted.

Initial Operation

  1. Plug in the dehumidifier.
  2. Press the Power button to turn the unit ON.
  3. Use the humidity setting buttons to select your desired humidity level. A good starting point is 50% relative humidity.
  4. Select your desired fan speed (High or Low).
  5. The unit will begin to operate, drawing in moist air and discharging dry air.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your dehumidifier.

Cleaning the Air Filter

  1. Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the slide-out, side-mounted nylon filter.
  3. Gently slide the filter out of its housing.
  4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not use a dishwasher.
  5. Once dry, slide the filter back into its housing.
  6. Plug in the unit and turn it on. The "Check Filter" light should reset.

Frequency: Clean the air filter every two weeks or more frequently if the unit is operating in a dusty environment, or when the "Check Filter" light illuminates.

Emptying the Water Bucket

  • When the "Full Bucket" indicator light illuminates, the unit will stop operating.
  • Carefully pull out the water collection bucket.
  • Empty the collected water into a sink or drain.
  • Reinsert the empty bucket firmly into the unit. Ensure it is properly seated to allow the dehumidifier to resume operation.

Cleaning the Unit Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
