Care and Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Inner Pot
The non-stick fluorine coated inner pot is easy to clean. Hand wash with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to prevent damage to the non-stick coating. Do not wash in a dishwasher.
2. Cleaning the Lid and Exterior
The inner lid is detachable for thorough cleaning. Wash it with warm, soapy water. Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing.
Troubleshooting
- Rice is too dry or hard: Ensure correct water-to-rice ratio according to the inner pot markings. Make sure the lid is properly sealed during cooking.
- Rice is too wet or mushy: Reduce the water slightly for the next batch. Ensure rice is properly rinsed before cooking to remove excess starch.
- Burnt smell during first use: A slight burning plastic smell may occur during the initial use, which is normal and should dissipate after the first few uses.
- Lid snaps up quickly when opened: Always use caution when opening the lid after cooking to avoid steam burns.
