1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Sawtooth 10-Watt Electric Guitar Amplifier. This compact amplifier is designed to provide a versatile range of tones for practice and small-scale use. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your amplifier.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
  • Do not open the amplifier casing. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.

  • INPUT: 6.35 MONO JACK for connecting your guitar.
  • GAIN: Adjusts the amount of input signal, affecting distortion levels.
  • DRIVE SELECT: Switch between clean and overdriven sounds.

5. Setup

  1. Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Ensure the POWER switch is in the OFF position.
  3. Connect the power cable to a 120VAC, 60Hz power outlet.
  4. Connect your electric guitar to the INPUT jack using the provided ChromaCast instrument cable.
  5. If desired, connect headphones to the HEADPHONES jack for silent practice.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On and Basic Tone

  1. Turn the VOLUME knob to its lowest setting.
  2. Flip the POWER switch to the ON position. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Slowly increase the VOLUME to your desired listening level.
  4. Start with the TREBLE, MIDDLE, and BASS controls at the 5 (middle) position for a neutral tone.

6.2 Adjusting Tone

  • Use the TREBLE, MIDDLE, and BASS knobs to shape your sound. Experiment with different settings to find your preferred tone.
  • For a brighter sound, increase TREBLE. For a warmer sound, increase BASS. Adjust MIDDLE for presence and clarity.

6.3 Clean and Overdrive Sounds

  • The DRIVE SELECT button allows you to switch between clean and overdriven tones.
  • For a clean sound, ensure the DRIVE SELECT button is in the UP position.
  • For an overdriven (distorted) sound, press the DRIVE SELECT button DOWN. Use the GAIN knob to control the amount of distortion. Higher GAIN settings will produce more distortion.

6.4 Silent Practice

Connect any standard 6.35mm (1/4 inch) stereo headphones to the HEADPHONES jack for private practice sessions. The amplifier's speaker will be muted automatically when headphones are connected.

7. Maintenance

  • Clean the amplifier's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Avoid spilling liquids on the amplifier.
  • Store the amplifier in a dry, cool place away from extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure the amplifier is powered ON and the volume is not at zero.
    • Check all cable connections (guitar to amp, power cable).
    • Verify your guitar's volume knob is turned up.
    • If headphones are connected, disconnect them to check the speaker output.
  • Distorted Sound (unexpected):
    • Check if the DRIVE SELECT button is in the UP (clean) position.
    • Reduce the GAIN and VOLUME settings.
  • Humming/Buzzing Noise:
    • Ensure all cables are properly shielded and connected.
    • Try plugging the amplifier into a different power outlet.
    • Move the amplifier away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.
