4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lamp.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover.
  3. Remove the cover.
  4. Insert 2 AA (LR6) alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  5. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw securely.

4.2 Initial Power On

Once batteries are installed, locate the power/mode switch on the base of the lamp. Slide the switch to either the 'Learning' or 'Music' position to turn the lamp on.

5. Operating Instructions

The Laugh & Learn My Pretty Learning Lamp offers two modes of play and several interactive features.

5.1 Modes of Play

  • Learning Mode: In this mode, the lamp focuses on teaching concepts like counting, shapes, and colors through songs and phrases.
  • Music Mode: This mode provides a variety of engaging tunes and songs for musical enjoyment.

5.2 Interactive Elements

  • Shape Buttons (1, 2, 3): Press the three colorful shape buttons on the base of the lamp to activate learning content (numbers, shapes, colors) in Learning Mode, or musical sounds and lights in Music Mode. The lights will dance along to the music and phrases.
  • Lampshade Press: Press down on the top of the lampshade to activate additional songs and phrases. The lamp will light up with various colors.
  • Light Switch: Toggle the yellow light switch on the side of the lamp to learn about opposites (on/off) and cause & effect. This action also triggers lights and sounds.
  • Plastic Book Accessory: The included plastic book can be placed in the slot on the side of the lamp. While it does not have interactive electronic features, it encourages imaginative play and can be used as a prop for storytelling.

5.3 Volume Control
