Setup

1. Battery Installation

The keyboard requires two AA batteries for operation. These are included as trial batteries.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

The keyboard uses Bluetooth 3.0 Class 2 (HID profile compliant) for wireless connection. It can store up to 3 paired devices.

1. Ensure the keyboard is powered on using the switch on the underside.
2. Activate Bluetooth on your device (PC, tablet, game console).
3. On the keyboard, press and hold the Fn key and one of the Q, W, E keys simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode for that profile. The corresponding indicator light will flash.
4. On your device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "FILCO MINILA Air" from the list.
5. If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your screen using the keyboard and press Enter.
6. Once paired, the indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing and remain solid.
7. To switch between paired devices, press Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E.

3. DIP Switch Settings

The keyboard features DIP switches on the underside to customize key functions. By default, all DIP switches are OFF. Refer to the diagram below for switch functions.

• DIP Switch 1: Disables Win Key and App Key.
• DIP Switch 2: Changes CapsLock key to Ctrl key.
• DIP Switch 3: Changes Left Fn key to Space key.
• DIP Switch 4: Changes Right Fn key to Space key.
• DIP Switch 5: Swaps Esc and [`~] keys.
• DIP Switch 6: Swaps [-=] and [\|] keys.

Key Functions

The FILCO Majestouch MINILA Air features a compact 67-key English layout with a double Fn key design, allowing for efficient access to various functions.

• Fn Key Combinations: Many keys have secondary functions accessible by holding down one of the Fn keys and pressing the desired key. These functions are typically indicated on the keycaps.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the keyboard.

Keycap Replacement

Your keyboard comes with replacement keycaps and a FILCO Key Puller tool.

1. Use the provided Key Puller to gently remove the desired keycap by hooking it onto the keycap and pulling upwards.
2. Align the new keycap with the switch stem and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Troubleshooting

Keyboard Not Connecting via Bluetooth

• Ensure the keyboard is powered on and has fresh batteries.
• Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
• Try re-pairing the keyboard by following the Bluetooth Pairing steps in the Setup section.
• Check if the keyboard is already connected to another device. Switch profiles using Fn + Q/W/E.
• Move the keyboard closer to your device to rule out range issues.
• Restart both the keyboard (power off/on) and your device.

Keys Not Responding or Stuck

• Check for any physical obstructions under the keycaps. Use the Key Puller to remove keycaps and clean underneath.
• Ensure the keyboard is fully charged or has fresh batteries.
• If experiencing repeated characters or input delays, this might indicate Bluetooth interference. Try to minimize other wireless devices operating nearby or move to a less congested area.
• If the issue persists, try resetting the keyboard (refer to the manufacturer's website for specific reset procedures if not covered here).
