2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation

- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or outwards to open it.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Important: Do not mix new batteries with old ones. Do not use rechargeable batteries unless specified. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period.
2.2 Initial Use
This replacement remote control is designed to work immediately after battery installation. No programming or pairing is required. Simply point the remote at your Toshiba TV and begin operation.
3. Operating the Remote Control
The HCDZ Replacement Remote Control functions identically to your original Toshiba TV remote. Point the remote control directly at the infrared (IR) sensor on your television. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV sensor.
- Power Button: Turns the TV on or off.
- Channel Buttons: Changes TV channels.
- Volume Buttons: Adjusts the TV volume.
- Input/Source Button: Selects different input sources (HDMI, AV, etc.).
- Other buttons correspond to their labeled functions on the remote.
The maximum effective range for the remote control is approximately 8 meters (26 feet).
4. Maintenance
4.1 Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the remote control's response becomes sluggish or stops functioning. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AAA alkaline batteries.
4.2 Cleaning

- Move closer to the television. The remote has a maximum range of 8 meters.
- Remove any objects obstructing the line of sight between the remote control and the TV's IR sensor.
- Avoid exposing the remote sensor to direct sunlight or strong lighting apparatuses, as this may cause interference.
- Buttons not working:
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power.
- Clean the remote control surface if any residue might be interfering with button presses.
