1. Setup

1.1 Battery Installation

The Voila Handheld UV Black Light Torch requires 4 AA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Unscrew the battery compartment cap located at the bottom of the flashlight.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Securely screw the battery compartment cap back into place.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Powering On/Off

To activate the UV black light, slide the switch located on the side of the device to the 'UV TUBE' position. To turn off the UV light, slide the switch back to the 'OFF' position. To activate the LED flashlight, slide the switch to the 'TORCH' position. To turn off the LED flashlight, slide the switch back to the 'OFF' position.

2.2 UV Light Functionality

The long-wave UV light emitted by this device is designed to be gentle on the eyes while effectively revealing hidden features. For optimal results, use the device in a dimly lit or dark environment.

  • Money Detection: Use the UV light to verify hidden security features on banknotes and passports, such as watermarks and security strips.
  • Document Authentication: Check paper quality on various security documents and highlight alterations or staining.
  • Pet Stain Detection: Identify dried pet urine stains on carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces.
  • Scorpion Detection: Scorpions fluoresce under UV light, making them easier to spot in dark environments.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning
