5. Cleaning and Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning Instructions

  • Food Tubs and Chopsticks: These components are dishwasher-safe. Place them on the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning.
  • Thermal Outer Container: The thermal container should be hand washed only. Use a soft sponge or cloth with mild dish soap and warm water. Do not immerse the entire thermal container in water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots or corrosion.
  • Lids and Gaskets: Wash lids and silicone gaskets thoroughly. Ensure gaskets are properly seated after cleaning to maintain a leak-proof seal.

5.2 Storage

Store all components clean and dry. Ensure lids are not sealed airtight during long-term storage to allow for air circulation and prevent odors.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Food not staying hot/cold:
    • Ensure the thermal outer container was properly pre-heated or pre-cooled before adding food.
    • Verify that all lids, especially the main thermal container lid, are securely fastened to create an airtight seal.
    • Check if the silicone gaskets are correctly positioned and free from damage.
  • Leaking from containers:
    • Confirm that the lids of the individual food tubs are tightly closed.
    • Inspect the silicone gaskets on the lids for any tears or misalignment.
  • Difficulty opening/closing lids:
    • Ensure no food particles are caught in the lid threads or sealing areas.
    • If a vacuum forms, try twisting the lid gently while applying slight upward pressure.
