Setup
Follow these steps to set up your GTD Audio G-622L Wireless Microphone System:
- Receiver Placement: Place the receiver unit on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is clear line-of-sight between the receiver and the transmitters for optimal signal reception. Extend the antennas vertically.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC INPUT port on the rear of the receiver and then plug it into a power outlet.
- Audio Output: Connect the receiver to your audio system (mixer, amplifier, or powered speakers) using the appropriate audio cables. The receiver features individual balanced XLR outputs for each channel (Balanced A, Balanced B, etc.) and a mixed 1/4" output (MIX A+B).
- Transmitter Battery Installation: For each handheld microphone or bodypack transmitter, open the battery compartment and insert two AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
- Bodypack Microphone Connection: If using bodypack transmitters, connect the headset or lapel lavalier microphone cable to the input jack on the bodypack.

Operating
- Power On: Turn on the receiver by pressing its power button. The display will illuminate. Then, power on each microphone or bodypack transmitter. The transmitter displays will show channel and frequency information.
- Channel Synchronization: The G-622L system features automatic frequency scanning to find and set the best available channel. The transmitter and receiver channels will synchronize automatically.
- Adjusting Gain/Volume: Each channel on the receiver has an individual volume/gain control knob. Adjust these knobs to achieve the desired audio level for each microphone. It is recommended to start with lower gain settings and gradually increase to avoid feedback or distortion.
- Range: The system offers a range of up to 600 feet (200 meters). Optimal performance is achieved within this range with minimal obstructions.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace AA batteries in microphones and bodypacks when the battery indicator shows low power. Always use fresh, high-quality batteries.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the receiver and transmitters. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries from transmitters and store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No sound output | Receiver or transmitter not powered on; low/dead batteries; incorrect audio connections; receiver volume too low. | Ensure all units are powered on. Replace batteries. Check all audio cables and connections. Increase receiver volume. |
| Poor reception or interference | Obstructions between transmitter and receiver; excessive distance; local RF interference. | Ensure clear line-of-sight. Reduce distance. Adjust receiver antenna position. The system features automatic frequency scanning to find the best available channel. |
| Audio distortion or feedback | Gain/volume too high; microphone too close to speakers; low batteries. | Adjust GAIN on the receiver. Move microphone further from speakers. Replace batteries. |
