2. Setup

2.1 Unfolding the Cane

1. Remove the HurryCane from its packaging. The cane is held together by an internal elastic cord.
2. Hold the handle firmly and allow the sections of the cane to fall into place. The elastic cord will guide the sections to connect automatically.
3. Ensure all sections are fully extended and securely locked into position before use.

2.2 Adjusting the Height

1. Locate the adjustment button on the upper shaft of the cane.
2. Press the button and slide the upper shaft up or down to your desired height. The cane offers multiple height settings between 30.5 and 37.5 inches.
3. Release the button, ensuring it snaps securely into one of the adjustment holes. Wiggle the shaft slightly to confirm it is locked.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Proper Usage

• Hold the ergonomic T-handle firmly. The wrist strap can be used for added security.
• Place the SteadiGrip base approximately one step ahead of you, slightly to the side of your body.
• Lean gently on the cane for support as you walk. The WhisperFlex pivoting base will adapt to your stride and the terrain.

3.2 Self-Standing Feature

The HurryCane is designed to stand independently on flat surfaces, allowing you to free your hands when needed. Simply place the cane upright on a level surface, ensuring the three points of the SteadiGrip base are stable.

3.3 Folding for Storage and Travel

To fold the cane, pull the sections apart until the internal elastic cord is visible. Fold the sections neatly alongside each other. The cane will collapse to a compact 13.7 inches, ideal for storage in bags or small spaces.

4. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the cane regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Inspection: Periodically check all sections and connections for wear or damage. Ensure the height adjustment button functions correctly.
• Base Condition: Inspect the SteadiGrip base for signs of wear. Replace the rubber tips if they become worn or damaged to maintain optimal traction.
• Storage: Store the cane in a dry place away from extreme temperatures. When folded, use the provided travel bag for protection.

5. Troubleshooting

• Cane does not fully extend: Ensure the internal elastic cord is not tangled or obstructed. Gently pull each section until it locks into place.
• Cane does not stand independently: Verify that the SteadiGrip base is clean and free of debris. Ensure the cane is placed on a flat, level surface. Uneven terrain may prevent independent standing.
• Height adjustment is difficult: Check for any debris or obstruction around the adjustment button. Apply light pressure to the button and try adjusting again. Do not force the adjustment.
• Loss of traction: Inspect the rubber tips on the SteadiGrip base for wear. Worn tips should be replaced immediately.
