Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the appliance for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately. Keep packaging materials away from children.
3.2 Placement
- Place the freezer on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight (43.5 kg).
- Ensure there is sufficient space around the appliance for proper air circulation. Allow at least 10 cm clearance on the sides and back, and sufficient space above for opening the lid.
- Avoid placing the freezer near heat sources such as ovens, radiators, or direct sunlight.
- The dimensions of the product are 118 cm (Width) x 69.8 cm (Depth) x 91.6 cm (Height).
3.3 Electrical Connection
- Before plugging in, ensure the voltage and frequency indicated on the rating plate match your household power supply (230 Volts).
- The appliance must be properly grounded. The cable length is 2.45 m.
- Do not connect the appliance to the mains supply until all packaging and transit protectors have been removed.
3.4 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, clean the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap to remove the typical smell of a brand new product, then dry thoroughly.
3.5 First Use
After positioning the appliance and connecting it to the power supply, allow it to stand for at least 2-3 hours before loading food. This allows the refrigerant to settle. For optimal initial freezing, activate the Fast Freeze function (Shopping mode) for 24 hours before placing large quantities of fresh food inside.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel
The electronic control panel is located on the lid of the freezer. It includes LED indicators and temperature selection buttons.
4.2 Temperature Selection
Use the temperature selection buttons to choose the desired freezing level:
- Eco: Energy-saving mode for general storage.
- Normal: Standard operating temperature for everyday use.
- Max: Colder setting for more demanding freezing needs.
- Shopping (Fast Freeze): Activates rapid freezing for fresh food. This function should be used when adding a large quantity of unfrozen food to the freezer. It will automatically deactivate after a set period or can be manually turned off.
4.3 LED Indicators
The control panel features LED indicators for various statuses, including power, temperature alarm, and active functions (e.g., Fast Freeze).
4.4 Temperature Alarm
The freezer is equipped with a temperature alarm that will activate if the internal temperature rises above a safe level, for example, due to a power failure or prolonged lid opening. Refer to the control panel for specific alarm indicators.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
5.1 Defrosting
As this model does not have an automatic antifreeze system, manual defrosting is necessary when the layer of frost reaches a thickness of 3-5 mm. To defrost:
- Unplug the freezer from the power supply.
- Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or a cool place.
- Leave the lid open to allow the frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to speed up defrosting.
- Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging the freezer back in and returning food.
5.2 Cleaning the Interior
Clean the interior regularly with a solution of lukewarm water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly to prevent mold and odors.
5.3 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
5.4 Power Failure
In the event of a power failure, the freezer can maintain the temperature for up to 45 hours, provided the lid remains closed. Avoid opening the lid unnecessarily during a power outage to preserve the internal temperature.
6. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer service, check the following common issues:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Freezer does not operate. | No power supply; plug not inserted correctly; fuse blown. | Check power connection; check household fuse/circuit breaker. |
| Temperature inside is not cold enough. | Lid not closed properly; frequent lid opening; large amount of warm food added; temperature setting too high; poor ventilation. | Ensure lid is sealed; reduce frequency of opening; activate Fast Freeze; adjust temperature setting lower; ensure adequate ventilation. |
| Excessive frost build-up. | Lid not sealed properly; high humidity environment; frequent lid opening. | Check lid seal; avoid opening lid unnecessarily; perform manual defrost. |
| Temperature alarm active. | Power failure; lid left open; too much warm food added. | Close lid; allow time for temperature to stabilize; if power failure, food should be safe for up to 45 hours. |
| Unusual noises. | Appliance not level; components vibrating. | Adjust leveling feet; ensure nothing is touching the back or sides of the appliance. |
