Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your GE 6-Outlet Surge Protector. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation and retain it for future reference.
The GE 6-Outlet Surge Protector is designed to expand your power access and protect your electronic devices from harmful voltage spikes. It features six grounded, three-prong outlets and an extra-long 10-foot cord for versatile placement.
Safety Information
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or injury:
- Do not exceed the electrical ratings of the surge protector.
- Do not use in wet environments or near water.
- Do not use with aquariums.
- Do not plug into another relocatable power tap.
- Do not use if the surge protector or cord is damaged.
- This device features an internal protection circuit that will disconnect the surge protector and connected equipment from power if a power surge or overload occurs. If the protected indicator light is off, the surge protection is no longer active.
- Keep children away from outlets. Utilize the twist-to-close safety covers on unused outlets.

Setup
Unpack the Surge Protector:
Carefully remove the surge protector from its packaging. Inspect the unit and cord for any signs of damage.

Plug into a Wall Outlet:
Plug the surge protector's flat plug into a standard 120V AC grounded wall outlet. The flat plug design allows furniture to sit closer to the wall.

Activate the Surge Protector:
Press the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The blue "Protected" indicator light will illuminate, confirming that the surge protection is active.

Mounting (Optional):
The surge protector includes keyhole slots on the back for easy mounting to a wall, desk, workbench, or counter. Use appropriate screws (not included) for secure installation.

Operating Instructions
Once the surge protector is plugged in and the "Protected" indicator light is on, you can begin connecting your electronic devices.
Connecting Devices:
Plug your devices into any of the six available grounded outlets. Ensure that the total power draw of all connected devices does not exceed the surge protector's maximum electrical rating (120V, 15A, 1800W).

Twist-to-Close Safety Covers:
Each outlet features a twist-to-close safety cover. When an outlet is not in use, twist the cover to close it. This helps prevent dust and foreign objects from entering the outlet and reduces the risk of electrical hazards, especially for households with children.

Power Cord Management:
The 10-foot power cord provides flexibility in device placement. Ensure the cord is not pinched or placed under heavy objects to prevent damage.

Maintenance
- Keep the surge protector clean and free of dust. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Do not attempt to open or repair the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
- Regularly check the "Protected" indicator light to ensure surge protection is active.
