  2. Software Installation

Insert the provided software CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the "CamApp" and "Photomizer SE" software. Ensure your system meets the minimum requirements: Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. For Windows 10, drivers may install automatically, but manual installation from the CD's executable file might be necessary if issues arise.

Note: The "CamApp" software may be entirely in English. The "CamApp" and "Photomizer SE" software might conflict; restarting your computer may be required when switching between them.

  3. Connecting to Computer

Connect the microscope to your computer using the supplied USB 2.0 cable. Plug one end into the microscope's USB port and the other into an available USB port on your PC or laptop. The computer should recognize the device automatically after software installation.

Operating Instructions

  1. Placing a Specimen

Place your prepared slide or object on the microscope stage. Use the stage clips to hold the slide securely in place if necessary.

  2. Adjusting Magnification

The Bresser USB Digital Microscope offers 20x, 80x, and 350x magnification levels. These are typically adjusted by moving the microscope head up or down relative to the stage, or by using the focus wheel which also changes the effective magnification range. The software will display the magnified image on your computer screen.

  3. Focusing the Image

Use the large focus wheels on the side of the microscope to adjust the focus. Rotate them slowly until the image on your computer screen is clear and sharp. Fine-tuning may require a delicate touch due to the internal gear transmission.

  4. Adjusting Illumination

The microscope features selectable top (incident) and transmitted (bottom) light functions with brightness control. Use the controls on the microscope body to select the appropriate lighting for your specimen and adjust the brightness for optimal viewing. Illumination can also be completely switched off.

  5. Capturing Images and Videos

Once the image is focused, you can capture still images or record videos using the "CamApp" software. There is also a capture button directly on the microscope for convenience. The captured images will have an interpolated resolution of 1280x1024 pixels.
