Setup
Unfolding the Rollator
Carefully remove the rollator from its packaging. Stand the rollator upright. Push the side frames outwards until they lock into place. Ensure the cross brace is fully extended and secured.
Adjusting Handle Height
Press the push-pins located on the side of each handle tube. Slide the handles up or down to the desired height. Release the push-pins and ensure they securely engage in the adjustment holes. The handles should be at a height that allows your elbows to be slightly bent when standing upright with your hands on the grips.
Attaching the Storage Pouch and Backrest
The rollator comes with a removable storage pouch and a padded backrest. Attach the storage pouch to the frame beneath the seat using its fasteners. Secure the padded backrest to the handle tubes as designed, ensuring it is stable for sitting.
Operating Instructions
Using the Brakes
- To Slow Down or Stop: Squeeze the loop brake handles upwards towards the handgrips. This applies pressure to the wheels, slowing or stopping the rollator.
- To Engage Parking Brakes: Push the loop brake handles downwards until they lock into place. This prevents the rollator from moving. Always engage parking brakes before sitting.
- To Release Parking Brakes: Pull the loop brake handles upwards until they disengage from the locked position.
Using the Seat
Ensure the rollator is on a level surface and the parking brakes are fully engaged. Turn around and slowly lower yourself onto the padded seat. Use the backrest for support. To stand up, lean forward, push off the seat, and release the parking brakes before moving.
Folding for Transport and Storage
To fold the rollator, first remove any items from the storage pouch. Pull the strap located on the seat upwards. The rollator will begin to fold inwards. Continue to push the sides together until it is fully collapsed. This compact design allows for easy storage and transportation.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the frame, seat, and handles with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Dry thoroughly.
- Brakes: Periodically check the brake cables and mechanisms for proper function and wear. Ensure the brakes engage and disengage smoothly. If adjustment is needed, consult a qualified technician.
- Wheels: Inspect wheels for wear and tear. Ensure they rotate freely and are free of debris.
- Fasteners: Regularly check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Do not overtighten.
