How to Play (Operating Instructions)
Objective
Be the first player to move all 4 of your pegs from your HOME area, around the game path, and into your matching colored FINISH zone.
Gameplay
- Starting a Peg: To move a peg out of your HOME area and onto your START space, you must roll a 6. If you roll a 6, place one of your pegs on your START space and take another turn.
- Moving Pegs: On your turn, press the Pop-O-Matic bubble to roll the die. Move any one of your pegs forward along the path the number of spaces indicated on the die. Movement is always clockwise.
- Landing on an Opponent's Peg: If you land on a space occupied by an opponent's peg, that opponent's peg is "bumped" and must return to their HOME area.
- Power Up Spaces (Optional Rule): If playing with Power Up spaces, landing on these spaces may grant special abilities or require specific actions as detailed in the game's included instructions.
- Entering the Finish Zone: Once your peg has completed a full circuit around the board, it can enter your matching colored FINISH zone. You must roll the exact number to move a peg into the FINISH zone.
- Winning the Game: The first player to successfully move all 4 of their pegs into their FINISH zone wins the game!

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your Trouble board game, follow these simple maintenance tips:
- Cleaning: Wipe the gameboard and plastic pegs with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but avoid excessive moisture.
- Storage: Store all game components in the original box when not in use to prevent loss or damage. Keep the game in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Handle the Pop-O-Matic bubble gently to ensure its continued functionality. Avoid applying excessive force.
Troubleshooting
Die Not Popping Correctly
If the die inside the Pop-O-Matic bubble does not pop or roll properly, ensure that the game unit is on a flat surface and that the bubble is pressed firmly and quickly. Avoid pressing slowly or with insufficient force. If the issue persists, check for any debris or foreign objects inside the bubble (though it is sealed).
Lost Game Pieces
The game includes 16 pegs. If pegs are lost, replacement pegs may be available from Hasbro customer service or generic game pieces can be used as substitutes. Always store pegs securely in the provided bag or box.
