Setup

Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Remove any protective films or packaging materials.

Initial Cleaning

  1. Wash the ground coffee container, single-serve coffee adapter, and bean hopper lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the grinder base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.

Assembly

  1. Place the grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
  2. Ensure the bean hopper is securely seated on the grinder base.
  3. Decide whether to use the single-serve coffee adapter or the ground coffee container for collecting grounds and place it securely in the designated slot.

Operating Instructions

Adding Coffee Beans

  1. Open the lid of the bean hopper.
  2. Pour whole coffee beans into the hopper. Do not overfill; ensure the lid can close properly.
  3. Close the bean hopper lid securely.

Selecting Grind Size

The SOLOGRIND offers various grind settings from fine to coarse. Adjust the grind size selector dial to your desired setting. Finer grinds are suitable for espresso, while coarser grinds are ideal for French press or drip coffee.

Using the Single Serve Adapter

For direct grinding into a K-Cup compatible filter:

  1. Ensure the red single-serve coffee adapter is correctly placed in the grinder's dispensing area.
  2. The grinder will automatically dispense a precise dose of ground coffee into the adapter.

Grinding Coffee

  1. Plug the grinder into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the main dial to the desired grind time setting (usually indicated by numbers or a timer).
  3. The grinder will start automatically and grind the beans according to the selected time and grind size.

Automatic Shut-off

The SOLOGRIND features an electronic timer that automatically shuts off the grinder once the grind cycle is complete, ensuring consistent results and preventing over-grinding.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the Grinder

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your grinder.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the grinder before cleaning.
  2. Remove Components: Detach the bean hopper lid, single-serve adapter or ground coffee container.
  3. Clean Removable Parts: Wash the bean hopper lid, single-serve adapter, and ground coffee container with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  4. Clean Grinding Chamber: Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burrs and grinding chamber. A vacuum cleaner can also be used for stubborn grounds.
  5. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the grinder base with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
  6. Dishwasher Safety: The SOLOGRIND is NOT dishwasher safe. Hand wash all removable parts.

Storage

Store the grinder in a clean, dry place when not in use. Ensure all parts are dry before storing.
