Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your electric griddle.
Cleaning Instructions:
- Ensure Cooling: Always allow the griddle to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove Temperature Control: Detach the temperature control probe before cleaning the griddle plate. Never immerse the temperature control probe in water or any other liquid.
- Empty Drip Tray: Remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it in warm, soapy water or place it in the dishwasher.
- Clean Griddle Plate: The griddle plate is immersible and dishwasher safe once the temperature control is removed. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Avoid using steel wool or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
- Wipe Base: Wipe the griddle base and cool-touch handles with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
- Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing.
Storage:
Store the cleaned and dried griddle in a cool, dry place. You may store the temperature control probe separately or reattach it once the griddle is completely dry.
