Important Safeguards

Setup

  3. Placement: Place the griddle on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the griddle for ventilation.
  4. Insert Drip Tray: Slide the drip tray into its designated slot beneath the cooking surface.
  5. Attach Temperature Control: Insert the temperature control probe firmly into the receptacle on the side of the griddle. Ensure it is fully seated.
  6. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Preheating:

  1. Ensure the temperature control probe is securely attached and the griddle is plugged in.
  2. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired cooking temperature. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the griddle is heating.
  3. Allow the griddle to preheat for approximately 5-10 minutes, or until the indicator light turns off, indicating the set temperature has been reached. The light will cycle on and off during cooking to maintain the temperature.

Cooking:

  • Lightly grease the non-stick cooking surface if desired, although it is not always necessary due to the non-stick coating.
  • Place food directly onto the preheated griddle surface.
  • Monitor food as it cooks. Adjust the temperature knob as needed for optimal results.
  • The large 20 x 11-inch cooking surface accommodates multiple items, suitable for family-sized meals.

After Cooking:

  1. Turn the temperature control knob to the “OFF” position.
  2. Unplug the griddle from the wall outlet.
  3. Allow the griddle to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your electric griddle.

Cleaning Instructions:

  1. Ensure Cooling: Always allow the griddle to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove Temperature Control: Detach the temperature control probe before cleaning the griddle plate. Never immerse the temperature control probe in water or any other liquid.
  3. Empty Drip Tray: Remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it in warm, soapy water or place it in the dishwasher.
  4. Clean Griddle Plate: The griddle plate is immersible and dishwasher safe once the temperature control is removed. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Avoid using steel wool or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
  5. Wipe Base: Wipe the griddle base and cool-touch handles with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
  6. Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing.

Storage:

Store the cleaned and dried griddle in a cool, dry place. You may store the temperature control probe separately or reattach it once the griddle is completely dry.
