4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your ice machine for the first time:
- Unpack: Carefully remove the ice machine from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future transport or storage.
- Placement: Place the ice machine on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is at least 15 cm (6 inches) of space around the unit for proper ventilation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the unit, including the water tank and ice basket, with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Operating your CASO IceMaster Pro is straightforward:
- Fill Water Tank: Open the lid and fill the water tank with potable water up to the MAX fill line. The tank has a capacity of 2.2 liters.
- Power On: Press the 'On/Off' button to turn on the appliance. The 'Power' indicator light will illuminate.
- Select Ice Size: Press the 'Select' button to choose your desired ice cube size: 'S' for small or 'L' for large. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
- Ice Production: The ice machine will begin the ice-making cycle. The first batch of ice cubes will be ready in approximately 6 to 13 minutes, depending on the selected size and ambient temperature.
- Automatic Functions:
- The 'Add Water' indicator will light up when the water level in the tank is too low. Refill the tank to continue ice production.
- The 'Ice Full' indicator will light up when the ice basket is full. The machine will automatically pause production until ice is removed.
- Continuous Production: The machine can produce approximately 500 grams of ice per hour, with a maximum daily production of 12 kg.
- Power Off: Press the 'On/Off' button to turn off the appliance when you are finished.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your ice machine:
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, drain any remaining water from the tank and wipe the interior with a soft cloth.
- Weekly Cleaning: For a more thorough cleaning, remove the ice basket and clean it with warm water and a mild detergent. Clean the water tank and the ice-making components with a solution of water and vinegar (10:1 ratio) to prevent mineral buildup. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
