Setup
1. Charging the Battery
- Insert the supplied battery into the battery charger.
- Connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate.
- Once charging is complete, the indicator will turn off. Remove the battery.
2. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
- Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the charged battery with the correct orientation until it clicks into place.
- Insert an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card into the card slot until it clicks. Ensure the card is facing the correct direction.
- Close the compartment cover securely.
3. Attaching the Lens
- Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear lens cap from the lens.
- Align the white index mark on the lens with the white index mark on the camera body.
- Mount the lens by turning it clockwise until it clicks into place.
- Remove the front lens cap.
Operating the Camera
Power On/Off
To turn the camera on or off, slide the power switch located on the top of the camera.
Selecting a Shooting Mode
Rotate the mode dial on the top of the camera to select your desired shooting mode. Available modes include:
- Intelligent Auto (iA): Camera automatically selects optimal settings.
- Program AE (P): Camera sets aperture and shutter speed for optimal exposure.
- Aperture Priority AE (A): You set the aperture, camera sets shutter speed.

Wi-Fi and NFC Connectivity
The camera supports Wi-Fi and NFC for wireless image transfer and remote control via a smartphone or tablet.
- Install the Panasonic Image App on your smart device.
- Enable Wi-Fi on the camera and your smart device.
- For NFC, simply touch the NFC-compatible smart device to the camera's NFC mark to establish a connection.
- Follow the on-screen prompts on both devices to complete the connection and transfer images or control the camera remotely.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Camera and Lens
