  • The leg rests are height-adjustable. Loosen the adjustment knob or lever, set the footplate to the desired height, and then tighten the knob/lever securely.
  • Ensure the calf and heel straps are properly positioned and secured to prevent feet from slipping off the footplates.

5. Folding and Transport

The Fenetic Wellbeing wheelchair is designed for easy folding and transport:

  1. Remove Components: For the most compact fold and lightest weight, remove the seat cushion, padded backrest, and leg rests.
  2. Fold the Frame: Pull up on the center of the seat fabric to begin folding the wheelchair frame inwards. Continue until the frame is fully collapsed.
  3. Remove Rear Wheels (Optional): For even greater compactness, press the quick-release button on the center of the rear wheel hubs and pull the wheels off the axles.
  4. Storage: Store the folded wheelchair in a dry, safe place. The compact dimensions (29" x 10" x 30" when folded) allow it to fit easily into most car trunks.

6. Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your wheelchair:

  • Cleaning: Clean the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners. The seat cushion and backrest can be removed for cleaning as per their fabric care instructions.
  • Wheel Inspection: Regularly check the wheels for wear and tear. Ensure the quick-release mechanisms are functioning correctly. The tires are puncture-proof, reducing maintenance needs.
  • Brake Check: Periodically test both the attendant brakes and the wheel locks to ensure they engage securely and provide adequate stopping power.
  • Fasteners: Check all nuts, bolts, and screws regularly and tighten if necessary. Do not overtighten.
  • Storage: Store the wheelchair in a dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
