Parts and Features

Familiarize yourself with the components of your popcorn maker:

  • Clear Top Cover: Allows you to view the popping process and directs popped corn.
  • Measuring Cup: Used to measure the correct amount of popcorn kernels.
  • Popping Chamber: Where the kernels are heated and popped by hot air.
  • Base Unit: Contains the heating element and fan. Designed as a vintage wagon.
  • On/Off Switch: Controls the power to the unit.

Setup

  1. Unpack the popcorn maker and all its components.
  2. Wipe down the clear top cover and measuring cup with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  3. Place the popcorn maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Ensure the On/Off switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging into an electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to make delicious hot air popcorn:

  1. Using the provided measuring cup, fill it with popcorn kernels. Do not overfill or underfill. (Typically, one full measuring cup is sufficient for one batch.)
  2. Pour the measured kernels into the popping chamber. Do not add oil, butter, or any other liquids to the popping chamber. This is a hot air popper.
  3. Place the clear top cover securely onto the base unit, ensuring it is properly seated. Position a large bowl under the chute of the clear top cover to collect the popped corn.
  4. Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet.
  5. Flip the On/Off switch to the "ON" position. The popping process will begin shortly.
  6. Popcorn will begin to pop and dispense into the bowl within a few minutes.
  7. Once popping slows down significantly (usually after 2-3 minutes), flip the On/Off switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit from the outlet.
  8. Allow the unit to cool completely before attempting to make another batch or cleaning.

Note: A small amount of unpopped kernels (old maids) is normal. Do not attempt to re-pop these kernels as it may cause the unit to overheat.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your popcorn maker:

  1. Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the clear top cover and measuring cup. Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are generally not dishwasher safe unless specified by the manufacturer.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. For stubborn spots, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  4. Never immerse the base unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  5. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surfaces.
  6. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place when not in use.
