Setup and Assembly

Before initial use, ensure all components are clean. Wash all removable parts in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry. The main motor unit should be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

Assembling the Immersion Blender

  1. Attach the desired blending leg (Stainless Steel Blending Leg or Variable Mashing Leg) to the main motor unit. Align the connection points and twist until it locks securely.
  2. For whisking, attach the whisk accessory to the gear box, then attach the gear box to the main motor unit.
  3. Ensure the protective cover is placed over the blade of the Stainless Steel Blending Leg when not in use or for storage.

Assembling the Food Processor

  1. Place the 1.6L Food Processing Bowl onto the motor base.
  2. Insert the S-Blade for chopping, or the Reversible Shredding Disk/Variable Slicing Disc for grating/slicing, onto the central spindle of the bowl.
  3. Secure the lid onto the food processing bowl.

Operating Instructions

Using the Immersion Blender

  • Plug the unit into a 110–120 Volt power outlet.
  • Submerge the stainless steel blending leg into the ingredients.
  • Utilize the ergonomic trigger grip for comfortable and controlled operation.
  • Adjust the speed using the variable speed dial for precise blending and processing. The unit features 15 speed settings.
  • For mashing, attach the Variable Mashing Leg and operate as needed.

Using the Food Processor

  • With the food processing bowl and desired blade/disc assembled, place ingredients into the bowl.
  • For slicing, use the Variable Slicing Disc and adjust the thickness from 0.5mm to 6.0mm using the integrated dial.
  • For grating, use the Reversible Shredding Disk for fine or coarse results.
  • Ensure the lid is securely locked before operating.

Maintenance and Storage

Cleaning

  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  • Wash all removable parts (food processing bowl, blades, discs, blending legs, whisk, gear box) in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • The main motor unit should not be immersed in water. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
  • Exercise caution when handling sharp blades and discs.

Storage

The Breville BSB530XL is designed for compact storage. All attachments, including the stick blender and chopping bowl, can be stored on the provided storage base, maximizing countertop space and keeping accessories organized.
