6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your projector.
6.1 Cleaning the Lens
Gently wipe the projector lens with a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or excessive force, as this can scratch the lens.
6.2 Air Filter Maintenance
The projector's air filter prevents dust from entering and damaging internal components. Check and clean the air filter regularly (e.g., every 100-200 hours of operation) or when prompted by the projector.
- Locate the air filter cover (refer to the projector diagram in Section 3).
- Remove the cover and carefully extract the filter.
- Clean the filter using a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Do not wash the filter with water.
- Reinsert the clean filter and replace the cover securely.
6.3 Lamp Replacement
The projector lamp has a finite lifespan. When the lamp life indicator appears or the image becomes dim, the lamp needs replacement. Always use an authorized InFocus replacement lamp.
- Power off the projector and unplug it from the power outlet. Allow it to cool completely (at least 30 minutes).
- Locate the lamp cover (refer to the projector diagram).
- Unscrew the lamp cover and carefully remove it.
- Unscrew the screws holding the lamp module in place and gently pull out the old lamp.
- Insert the new lamp module, ensuring it is seated correctly, and secure it with screws.
- Replace the lamp cover and secure it.
- Reset the lamp timer in the projector's OSD menu.
Warning: Do not touch the lamp glass directly with bare hands. Oils from your skin can reduce lamp life. Always allow the projector to cool down before performing any maintenance.
