1. Introduction

2. Product Features

  • High-Visibility LED: Provides bright illumination for easy arrow tracking and retrieval.
  • Bowstring Activated On-Off Switch: Automatically activates upon release and can be manually deactivated.
  • No Assembly Required: Ready for immediate use out of the package.
  • Lightweight Design: Each nock contributes minimal weight to the arrow for consistent flight.
  • Durable Construction: Engineered for repeated use in various archery conditions.

3. Compatibility

Nockturnal-G lighted nocks are designed for arrows with a .165 inch inside diameter. This includes, but is not limited to, popular arrow models such as:

  • Victory VAP
  • Easton Acc
  • Easton 4mm Axis Long Range
  • G-UNI

Always verify your arrow shaft's inside diameter before installing to ensure a secure and proper fit.

4. Setup and Installation

  1. Prepare Arrow Shaft: Ensure the inside of your arrow shaft is clean and free of debris.
  2. Insert Nock: Gently push the Nockturnal-G nock into the arrow shaft. Apply firm, even pressure until the nock is fully seated. Do not force the nock, as this may damage it or the arrow shaft.
  3. Verify Fit: The nock should fit snugly within the arrow shaft. A loose fit can affect arrow flight and nock activation.
  4. Test Activation: Before shooting, lightly press the nock against a hard surface or use a bowstring to simulate activation. The LED should illuminate. If it does not, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

5. Operation

  • Activation: The Nockturnal-G nock is designed to activate automatically upon release of the arrow. The force of the bowstring engaging the nock causes the internal switch to close, illuminating the LED.
  • Deactivation: To turn off the lighted nock after use, gently pull the nock straight back from the arrow shaft approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inch until the light turns off. Alternatively, a small tool like a paper clip or the specialized Nockturnal tool can be used to depress the activation pin until the light extinguishes. Avoid twisting the nock during deactivation.

6. Maintenance and Storage

  • Cleaning: Keep the nocks clean from dirt, mud, and other debris. A soft, damp cloth can be used for cleaning. Ensure the nock is dry before storage.
  • Battery Life: The integrated battery provides approximately 10 hours of continuous illumination. Battery life may vary based on environmental conditions and usage.
  • Storage: Store nocks in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure nocks are deactivated before storage to preserve battery life.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect nocks for any signs of damage or wear. Replace damaged nocks immediately to ensure safety and performance.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Nock does not light up upon activation.
  • Battery depleted.
  • Nock not fully seated or activation pin not engaged.
  • Internal damage.
  • Nockturnal nocks have non-replaceable batteries. If depleted, the nock needs replacement.
  • Ensure the nock is fully inserted into the arrow shaft and the bowstring makes proper contact.
  • If damaged, replace the nock.
Nock lights up intermittently or flickers.
  • Loose fit in arrow shaft.
  • Nock nearing end of battery life.
  • Ensure the nock is securely seated. If the fit is consistently loose, the nock may not be compatible with your arrow shaft's internal diameter.
  • Replace the nock if battery life is suspected.
Nock is difficult to turn off.
  • Activation pin stuck or stiff.
  • Incorrect deactivation method.
  • Use the recommended deactivation method (pulling back slightly or using a tool to depress the pin).
  • Avoid twisting. If persistent, the nock may be faulty.
