For optimal 5.1 surround sound experience, position the speakers as follows:

  • Front Left & Front Right Speakers: Place on either side of your television, facing the listening area.
  • Center Speaker: Position directly above or below your television.
  • Surround Left & Surround Right Speakers: Place to the sides or slightly behind the main listening position.
  • Subwoofer: Can be placed anywhere in the room, typically near the front speakers, for enhanced bass.

Note: Ensure speaker wires are not tangled and are securely connected to prevent signal loss or damage.

3.2 Connecting Speakers to the Main Unit

Connect each satellite speaker and the subwoofer to the corresponding output terminals on the rear of the main DVD Home Theater System unit. Match the color-coded wires and terminals (if applicable) or ensure positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are correctly aligned.

3.3 Connecting to a Television

The SC-37HT offers several video output options to connect to your television:

  • CVBS (Composite Video): Connect a single yellow RCA cable from the "VIDEO OUT" port on the system to the "VIDEO IN" port on your TV.

  • YPbPr (Component Video): Connect red, green, and blue RCA cables from the "YPbPr OUT" ports on the system to the corresponding "YPbPr IN" ports on your TV.

For audio, ensure your TV's audio output is connected to the system's audio input if you wish to play TV audio through the system. The system primarily outputs audio from its own media sources.
