Introduction

The Tassimo T47 Beverage System and Coffee Brewer is designed for convenient single-cup beverage preparation. Utilizing barcode technology, the system automatically adjusts water volume, brewing time, and temperature to ensure optimal results for each T-Disc. Its flow-through water heater technology allows for quick beverage creation, typically within a minute, with minimal pre-heating. This system supports a wide range of beverages, including coffee, cappuccino, latte (made with real milk), tea, espresso, crema, hot chocolate, and iced beverages. The removable cup stand accommodates various cup sizes, including travel mugs.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all packing materials, including any protective films or tapes, are removed from the appliance.
2. Placement: Place the brewer on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface near an electrical outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
3. Water Tank Installation:

   Locate the water tank at the back of the unit. Remove it by pulling it upwards. Fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the "MAX" mark. If your model includes a water filter, ensure it is correctly installed in the tank before filling. Reinsert the filled water tank firmly into its position on the brewer.

4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The power button may illuminate, indicating the unit is ready for initial use.
5. Initial Rinse Cycle: Before first use, perform a rinse cycle without a T-Disc. Place an empty cup on the cup stand, close the brew head, and press the start button. This cleans the internal system.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Ensure the brewer is plugged in and the power switch (if present) is in the 'On' position. The indicator light will show the machine is heating up or ready.
2. Prepare Cup: Place your desired cup or mug on the adjustable cup stand. Adjust the stand's height if necessary to prevent splashing.
3. Insert T-Disc:

   Open the brew head by lifting the lid. Insert the chosen T-Disc into the disc holder with the barcode facing down. Close the brew head firmly until it clicks into place. The machine will read the barcode to identify the beverage type.

4. Start Brewing: Press the start/stop button. The brewing process will begin automatically, adjusting to the T-Disc's instructions. Steam and hot liquid will dispense into your cup.
5. Completion: The brewing process will stop automatically once the beverage is ready. The indicator light will change, and the machine may make a sound to signal completion.
6. Enjoy: Carefully remove your freshly brewed beverage.
7. Remove T-Disc: Open the brew head and remove the used T-Disc. Dispose of it according to local recycling guidelines. Close the brew head.
8. Automatic Shut-off: The Tassimo T47 is designed to automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to conserve energy.

• Cleaning the Drip Tray: The drip tray collects excess liquid. Regularly remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
• Cleaning the Water Tank: Periodically remove the water tank and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse well to remove any soap residue.
• Cleaning the Brew Head: After each use, wipe the brew head and T-Disc holder with a damp cloth to remove any coffee or beverage residue.
• Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the machine, affecting performance. Follow the descaling instructions provided in your full product manual or consult the manufacturer's website for specific descaling procedures for the Tassimo T47.
