1. Introduction

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your iDect Carrera Classic telephone:

4.1 Connecting the Handset

Connect one end of the coiled handset cord to the handset and the other end to the handset jack on the left side of the telephone base unit.

4.2 Connecting the Telephone Line

Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the telephone base unit. Plug the other end into your telephone wall socket.

4.3 Connecting the Power Adapter

If your model includes a power adapter for the backlit display and speakerphone features, plug the small end of the power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the telephone base unit. Plug the larger end into a standard electrical wall outlet.

4.4 Initial Power-On

Once all connections are secure, the telephone display should illuminate. If not, ensure the power adapter (if used) is properly connected and the wall outlet is active.

5.1 Making a Call

5.6 Redial Function

Press the REDIAL button to call the last dialed number.

5.7 Caller ID

If you subscribe to Caller ID service from your telephone provider, the caller's number and name (if available) will be displayed on the screen before you answer the call. You can typically review a list of past calls using the CALL LOG or CID button.

5.8 Mute Function

During a call, press the MUTE button to temporarily disable your microphone, allowing you to speak privately without the other party hearing you. Press it again to unmute.
