The Beetel M51 is a corded landline phone designed for reliable communication. It features a 16-digit LCD display, Caller ID compatibility, and various convenient functions such as redial, mute, and flash. Setup

1. Unboxing and Package Contents

Carefully unpack all items from the box. Ensure the following components are present:

2. Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the jack on the side of the base unit and the other end into the jack on the bottom of the handset.
  2. Connect to Telephone Line: Plug one end of the main line cord into the "LINE" jack on the back of the base unit and the other end into your telephone wall jack.

3. Battery Installation

The Beetel M51 requires 3 AA batteries for the LCD display and Caller ID features to function. These batteries are typically included.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the phone base unit.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Even without batteries, the basic call functions (making and receiving calls) will work, but the display, Caller ID, and other advanced features will not be active.

The M51 supports FSK/DTMF compatible Caller ID. When a call comes in, the caller's number (and name, if available and subscribed to service) will be displayed on the 16-digit LCD.

The phone has a 31-digit redial memory.

During a call, you can temporarily mute your microphone so the other party cannot hear you.

5. Flash Function

The flash function is used for network services like call waiting or conference calls. The flash time is programmable (100ms, 300ms, 600ms, 1000ms), with a default of 300ms.

6. Tone / Pulse Selection

The phone supports both Tone (DTMF) and Pulse dialing modes, selectable through software using the * key.

7. Ringer Volume Control

The ringer volume can be adjusted using the switch located on the side or bottom of the phone base unit. It typically has "HI" and "LOW" settings.

8. LCD Contrast Adjustment

The 16-digit LCD display contrast can be adjusted in 6 steps for optimal readability.

9. Real-Time Clock Setting

The phone features a real-time clock with year, date, and month display.
