Proper installation and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the appliance.

Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using this appliance to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury. This unit is designed for commercial use. Ensure all electrical connections comply with local codes.

  • Electrical Safety: Connect the unit to a grounded 115V, 60Hz, 15A dedicated circuit. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
  • Ventilation: Maintain adequate clearance around the unit for proper airflow and heat dissipation.
  • Flammable Materials: Do not store explosive substances or flammable materials inside or near the freezer.
  • Servicing: Only qualified service personnel should perform repairs. Disconnect power before any maintenance or servicing.
  • Children: Keep children away from the appliance.

Setup and Installation

Careful installation ensures proper function and extends the life of your freezer.

1. Unpacking

Remove all packaging materials, including protective film and tape. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Report any damage to the carrier immediately.

2. Placement

  • Place the freezer on a strong, level surface capable of supporting its weight when fully loaded.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or areas with high humidity.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation: allow at least 4 inches of clearance from walls or other objects on the sides and rear for proper air circulation.

3. Caster Installation

The unit comes with 5-inch swivel casters, including two with front brakes, for mobility. Ensure all casters are securely attached before moving the unit. Lock the front casters once the unit is in its final position to prevent accidental movement.

4. Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

5. Power Connection

After placement and cleaning, plug the unit into a dedicated 115V, 60Hz, 15A grounded electrical outlet. Allow the freezer to operate empty for at least 2-4 hours to reach its set temperature before loading products.

Operating Instructions

1. Temperature Control

The freezer is equipped with an electronic temperature control system. The factory preset temperature range is -1°F to -11°F (-18°C to -24°C). Refer to the control panel instructions (typically located inside or on the front panel) for adjusting the temperature settings. Avoid frequent temperature changes.

2. Loading the Freezer

  • Do not overload the freezer. Allow space between items for proper air circulation.
  • Ensure products do not block the air vents inside the unit.
  • The internal storage capacity is 6.8 cubic feet.

3. Door Operation

The single door features a spring-loaded, self-closing mechanism to minimize temperature fluctuations. It also includes a "stay-open" feature for convenience during loading or unloading. The magnetic vinyl gasket ensures a tight seal when closed.

4. Shelf Adjustment

The unit includes two 2-inch height-adjustable, heavy-duty, PE coated wire shelves. To adjust, simply lift the shelf and reposition the shelf clips to the desired height along the interior pilasters.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential for efficient operation and to prolong the life of your freezer.

1. Cleaning the Interior

Clean the interior regularly with a mild, non-abrasive detergent and warm water. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Remove shelves for easier cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals.

2. Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner or mild detergent. Avoid scratching the surface. For best results, wipe in the direction of the grain.

3. Gasket Maintenance

Inspect door gaskets regularly for cracks or tears. Clean gaskets with warm, soapy water to maintain flexibility and ensure a tight seal. Replace damaged gaskets promptly to prevent energy loss.

4. Condenser Coil Cleaning

The condenser coil, typically located at the rear or bottom of the unit, should be cleaned every 30-60 days. Dust and debris accumulation can reduce efficiency and increase energy consumption. Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust. Always disconnect power before cleaning the condenser coil.

5. Automatic Defrost System

This unit features an automatic defrost system, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. Ensure the drain pan is clear and free of obstructions.
