Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Sonnet Ken-Tech T-4652 requires two (2) AA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
  2. Slide or lift the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Always use fresh batteries. Remove batteries if the clock will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

2. Initial Atomic Time Synchronization

Upon battery installation, the clock will automatically begin searching for the WWVB atomic time signal from Boulder, Colorado. This process may take several minutes to several hours, depending on your location and environmental conditions.

2. Setting Time Zone

While the atomic clock automatically sets the time, you may need to manually select your time zone. Locate the "TIME ZONE SELECT" button, usually on the back or side of the clock. Press this button repeatedly to cycle through the available time zones (e.g., PST, MST, CST, EST).

3. Manual Time Adjustment (If Atomic Signal is Unavailable)

In rare cases where the atomic signal cannot be received, you can manually set the time:

  1. Press and hold the "SET" or "MODE" button (refer to the diagram for exact button names if available).
  2. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the hour, then press "SET" or "MODE" to confirm.
  3. Repeat for minutes, year, month, and day.

4. Setting the Alarm

To set the alarm:

  1. Press the "ALARM" button once to display the current alarm time.
  2. Press and hold the "ALARM" button until the alarm hour flashes.
  3. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the alarm hour, then press "ALARM" to confirm.
  4. Repeat for alarm minutes.
  5. Press "ALARM" again to activate the alarm. A bell icon will appear on the display.

To turn off the alarm, press the "ALARM" button until the bell icon disappears.

5. Snooze/Backlight Function

Press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button (typically located on top of the clock) to activate the blue backlight for approximately 5 seconds. If the alarm is sounding, pressing this button will activate the snooze function, delaying the alarm for a set period (e.g., 5-10 minutes).
